30 Day Challenge WINNERS and RESULTS!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!
 
‎30 Day Challenge stats from Curves of Paso Robles:
Frances B: -24.85
Jeanne B.: -17.50
Margaret S.: -15.45

...We had 31 participants....24 completed the challenge!

We lost a total of 110.89 inches and 58.4 lbs (54.s7 of that PURE BODY FAT!
 
That is 18 LARGE CANS OF CRISCO!!)

CONGRATS LADIES!! YOUR HARD WORK PAYS OFF.....CURVES WORKS!!!

No Rest for the Wicked?

Yes, the 30 day challenge is over....

But yesterday at Regional Training the BIG GUNS suggested we take on a 90 DAY CHALLENGE to prepare us for all the new and wonderful things Curves will be bringing in the Fall....


I am so tired....can I do it?


They even mentioned we have time for TWO 90 Day Challenges if we need it before Convention in November....


Did I mention that I was TIRED?

Day 30 of 30...WE DID IT!!

CONGRATULATIONS!
WE HAVE
COMPLETED
the
CURVES'
30 DAY CHALLENGE!


We will be finishing up final Weigh and Measures and have the results posted for you in club next week sometime!

I am very pleased with my results:


Now this may not be impressive to you.
"Big deal...little over 4lbs...."

But check it out...

Look at the number right below it.
That is BODY FAT POUNDS LOST.
BODY FAT = SPACE

Those "measly" 4 lbs
when translated into
BODY FAT LOSS
equals
ONE JEAN SIZE

!!!!

This past weekend I got rid of my last 2 pairs of MOM JEANS

Because I can now fit into some very stylish, much SMALLER jeans given to me by my younger and definitely hipper friends.
(They are also my Support Group...we W&M EVERY WEEK!):

So those of you who participated did great....

It amazes me how a Salad Chiller or duffel bag can motivate
you into establishing great habits for 30 days...

The Challenge is over TODAY.

I prefer a pair of cutoffs and a tshirt at the lake.
But it might be yours...

Day 28 of 30....I NEED A FIX!

You

1.  Your workout pants are starting to slide off during salsa

3.  Your underwear  are following your workout pants....


4.  You really don't think a punch card is necessary, but have absolutely no problem digging up $3-$5 in coins from you sofa cushions, car ash tray or junk drawer for today's class!



5.  Your beloved '80 music that dominated your stereos and Mp3 players has been replaced with Cypress HIll, Kumbia Kings, and Chaiyya Chaiyya







6.  Your hallways are now Kumbia and Grapevine Zones

DAY 24 of 30....No Whey? Whey!

OMIGOODNESS
I am SOOOOOO tired
today!

It was so hard crawling out of bed....


I was even a chore to drink a cup of coffee...that is rare for me...



So if I barely had the energy for my beloved java,
you can imagine my dilemma with
breakfast....

There was just no way I was going to separate eggs and cook oatmeal.
Not today.

We are nearing the end of the 30 Day Challenge, so I had to keep it *real*....

I really depend on my Curves Protein Shakes.
If you are on the Curves Weight Management or any other effective fat loss program you know you have to eat every three hours....

Can YOU eat a chicken breast, salad and piece of fruit 6 times a day?
to be honest...I could...I love to eat

BUT IT ISN'T PRACTICAL.

...and with the way I feel today it is gonna be impossible....

The Curves Shake is awesome...especially when I get creative with extracts....

I was in a challenge with my girls during the holidays and felt rather smug that I was able to create an eggnog with the vanilla shake....
I had eggnog almost every morning during the holidays.
It was great :-)

DAY 22 of 30....Spring Melt!

GOOD MORNING!
HAPPY SPRING!
Well, it IS Spring...even though it is cold and wet here in 
Paso Robles.  

We did get a bit of sunshine this a.m., but I guess we are anticipating scattered showers for the next few days....
It's all good...we need the rain...

BUT MY BRAIN WANTS SUNSHINE!

I can't wait to take my walks in the warmth of the sun again...as it is I am getting them in before work and it's a bit chilly.

How are you all doing with the 30 Day Challenge?

I can tell you the weigh and measures I have done show some of you are DOING GREAT!

I did my weigh and measure yesterday with my support group and here are my results for the week...I am totally stoked...check it:
This is why we do ALL THREE MEASUREMENTS...
If you look at my SCALE WEIGHT in the upper right hand corner, you will see that number is small...although 1/2 a pound is nothing to sneeze at!

How check out the BODY FAT POUNDS underneath....
HOLY MACARONI! 
1.6 lbs of BODY FAT LOST....


If you don't understand what that means, that means  I have gained lean mass (muscle, burns calories, tones)! 
That also means I am able to wear my smaller jeans and toss the bigger size in my Goodwill box.


When you burn body fat, you physically take up less room...we call that 
MELTING


I wasn't worried about my weigh and measure...I have been faithful to my workouts AND MY +30...
I have been following the Curves Weight Management Plan...this plan helps you to retain your lean mass and burn body fat...
HUGE.
I felt great...I am tossing my clothes and looking for those smaller sizes in my drawers...


So that "MEASLY" 1/2 lbs. didn't bother me...
BUT THAT BODY FAT LOSS IS EXCITING!
THAT LEAN MASS GAIN IS THRILLING!
...because I can FEEL IT....
and my hubby says he can see it...

ANOTHER HUGE THING
because Rick seldom comments on my fitness 
and it meant A LOT to me ;-)
So we are in the home stretch with this 30 Day Challenge...
Hit the Circuit HARD
(less chatter, push harder)
Eat Clean
(lean protein, whole grains, lots of fruit and veggies, NO SODA)
Do your +30
(Curves Circuit with Zumba, Walking, Dancing, Wii, WHATEVER!)

...and I will see you

DAY 17 of 30...ENERGY RETURNS!

HAPPY WEDNESDAY!





I am very happy to report my energy has RETURNED!!
I increased my calories just a smidge yesterday and I really think that was key....
Not with Fruity O's
Not with Honey Something or Others
Not chocolate...
(I left my bank card at home when I ran to Rite Aid)

I just had a couple extra ounces of chicken breast on my 
QUICK NACHOS
from the Curves Weight Management Book
and a sprinkling of whole fat cheese.
NOT MUCH, just enough...

I feel like a brand new gal this a.m.



So I hit Curves at 6am and worked out with the Early Birds....there were 7 of us...it'd good to get the workout done early, but I tend to get a better calorie burn later...after I warm up...but it's all good ;-)

Once we get the kids to school Rick and I will get a quick walk in around the water tower and then I will head to work....
